Young Guns: Round 8 Cut and Keep

We are reaching a point of the season where some decisions have to be made about the cash cows on our benches, some guys may have reached the their pinnacle price whilst others have much more in the tank. If you have any of the blokes below you might want to listen up. 

CUT

Josh Hill- Had a supreme start to the year, in his first three games scoring 86, 92 and 99. Although, in his past four games he has averaged just 48, including 32 last week. 50 000 Dream Teamer’s have him still and I really believe he has reached his price pinnacle for the year. His breakeven is now 64, a score he hasn’t reached in the past 4 games. He now sits at 213k, if you bought him in the first couple of rounds he would have earnt you 110k, a figure you cant be too disappointed in.

Craig Bird- Another young gun who has played every game this year. He has earnt himself 89k along the way, but it may be time to go Mr Bird simply because I don’t know if he will hold his spot in the side. He averages a measly 46 points, including 35 last week. With Malceski coming back into the side and young keiran Jack performing much better than Bird, I cant see him holding his spot for much more. If he is in the side this week, maybe keep him, and even though he has a breakeven of 11, I suggest trade him off for young Browne of carlton. Browne is sitting at a dirt cheap 83k, especially when you consider he past two round scores of 79 and 72, he looks as though he could do alright. Grab him before his price goes up.

 

KEEP

 

Cyril Rioli- I know a lot of people have given him the boot, but I reckon the little hawks gun could have some more in him, why? Because he is 253k, averages 71, and has a break even of a measly 42, that’s lower than any score hes ever had. Keep him, at least for a few more rounds I cant see you going wrong unless you really need some DT dough this week.

 

Ryan Gamble- Averages 65 and has a break even of 11!! There is plenty more in this guys tank as long as he holds his spot. Lowest score of 48 in his first game, he has been scoring consistent 60’s or more. If he holds his average for a few more weeks he will rise greatly.

 

Ryhs Palmer- Don’t you dare trade him off yet! This guy is a superstar, Im considering leaving him in my side for the whole year if he holds his spot. I don’t care if you really want some cash you will regret getting rid of this guy at this stage. The stats speak for themselves. Averages 80, 55 000 selections, highest score of 107, lowest of 46 second lowest is 71, 256k, gone up 156k and has a break even of 33! Hes a keeper.
